Historic Structures

Through an in-depth knowledge of building methods and materials of the past as well as a 'sensitive touch' in respect of remediation design, Archibald Shaw have undertaken many works on historic structures.

Recent examples of these include refurbishment works to Storehouse buildings in Portsmouth Dockyard and visitor improvement works at Dover Castle (both scheduled ancient monuments). We have also carried out restoration works to many public and private grade I and II listed buildings.
